'Saturation' for Fade to Light is a creative collaboration between local designers Stefanie Houlis and Stephanie Podasca. Unique garments are designed with Houlis’ drive to create fashion forward architectural silhouettes. This modern dynamic is paired with Podasca’s organic and traditional approach to hand-dyed textiles, utilizing Japanese shibori methods.

All the handbags were created to compliment my senior collection. With attention to conservation & sustainability, I was able to use all of my leftover leatherscraps to create cutting edge handbag designs.
A Spring collection inspired by futurism, and the prospect of human life in the infinite boundaries of space. The garments are modern, fresh, and intricately constructed to promote fashion forward architectural silhouettes. The contemporary ‘Ready to Wear’ line is designed for a vibrant young woman who is extraordinarily creative. The looks apply a range that flows flawlessly from day to night, to night club.
I’m designing for a modern, young, and affluent woman ages 25-35. She is an extraordinarily creative and spirited professional, that thrives in today’s fast passed design world. She loves to be bright and bold in her wardrobe selection, and she always has one foot ahead of the trends. She has a thirst for life that does not falter easily, as she plows through life with glittering ambition.
Documentation of the ‘process’ behind creating my senior collection. From trend research, to sourcing fabric, draping, patterning, and prototyping each garment. The joy of creation for me, is the design process in itself.
'Whirlwind' is an original motorcycle jacket inspired by the notion of ‘flying by the seat of your pants’ in windswept adventures, on the roar of a motorcycle. The design is digitally produced to highlight technical sketching skills. The garment is meant to be an extension of my senior collection, and the antithesis in producing personal branding for a signature line called ‘Stefanie Says’.
An apparel development project, in which a team composed of; designer, merchandise manager, technical designer, and project coordinator, work together to develop a successful apparel brand. The subsequent result, a skillfully executed line of clothing. Team members demonstrate their individual skills to produce a cohesive marketing campaign and business structure.

'Folds for Life' is a Fall garment inspired by crisp Autumn landscapes, turquoise stones, and the trend indulgent Pendleton Collections. The look highlights precision draping and construction skills, while incorporating a modern and bright aesthetic. Made with Pendleton wool, this ‘Ready To Wear’ garment is designed to suit a vivacious woman, that celebrates the spirit of the Pacific Northwest.
Process photos that highlight advanced draping techniques. For me, draping is the best way to reach an enlightened sense of design. Each step involves extreme attention to detail with regards to craft ,drape, fit, and overall aesthetic value.
'Active Leaps' is a Fall capsule collection that features activewear textiles. Inspired by equestrian sports, horseback riding, and the brand 'Kerrits'. The garments are patterned and constructed completely out of technical performance fabric. The collection is designed for an adventure seeking woman who loves the outdoors, and appreciates an active lifestyle.
'Knit Bounds' is a continuation of the Fall capsule collection ‘Active Leaps’. Also inspired by Equestrian riding, the garments are instead constructed completely out of knitwear fabric. The look is both comfortable and stylish, embodying the essence of an active lifestyle. The separates are designed for a woman on the go, from running errands to spontaneous Autumn hikes.
'Street Beat' is a Spring capsule collection composed of digitally produced prints. The bold and fashion forward prints are inspired by the Pop Art movement of the early 1980s. Specifically, Andy Warhol’s exuberant silk screens, paired with Jackson Pollock's erratically eclectic paint splatter creations. The ‘Ready to Wear’ street style looks are created for the hip & thriving younger generation.
An editorial photo shoot for Portland band ‘Ruby Feathers’. Follow the band on a journey through the southern countryside. Inspired by Psychedelic/Country music that will fill your heart & soul.
